Jamie’s aspirations are to “keep learning” as she begins her customer service role with Atlas Pressed Metals.
Jacob Perrin joined Atlas Pressed Metals as a product cost estimator in December of 2019.
Working closely with Roy Bundy, a 20+year employee of Atlas who is extremely knowledgeable about the Powdered Metal process and the components produced by Atlas, Jacob will develop quotations for new product opportunities as well as revisions for existing parts within the operation.
“Roy is a great mentor and sets a good pace of learning. His remarkable memory and attention to detail is something that I inspire to develop”, says Jacob of his mentor.
Jacob grew up in nearby Brockway. He attended college at Penn State DuBois and graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Jacob was involved in leadership and community programs on campus and as such was selected to attend the Summer Leadership Conference. The Summer Leadership Conference is a three-day event that brings Penn State students together from across the commonwealth. Jacob attended several workshops aimed at enhancing his leadership, citizenship and networking skills.
An internship with the DuBois Dream, a professional minor league men’s basketball organization based in DuBois, allowed Jacob to combine his academic requirements with his passion for basketball, youth development and personal training and skills development. He established two summer camps, DuBois Dream Mini Camp for youth and the DuBois Dream Elite Guard Academy for high school age kids. These camps focused on leadership, personal and emotional growth as well as basketball skills development. After time as the assistant then head coach, today, Jacob is number 3, point and shooting guard for the DuBois Dream.
“My role as an estimator is very challenging, but the culture at Atlas is patient and very supportive, comments Jacob. “ I am very grateful to be part of this team.”
